Sirens of Amaya

On the shores of the White Sea, a mutilated body of a young girl has been discovered. It seems that an unknown killer has surpassed all maniacs in cruelty: severed breasts, stitched perineum, and missing three toes from the feet... – clearly a genetic deformity. In addition, her thighs and arms are marked with incomprehensible letters, resembling those carved into the bark of trees... Investigator Simo Ilves suggests that this is a ritual murder. It could have been committed on the nearby island of Sirens of Amaya, where no civilized person has ever been. To uncover the mystery of the unfortunate girl's death, a mixed group is sent to the supposed lair – an investigator, an operative, a criminologist, a religious scholar, and a pathologist. The shore greeted them with ominous silence. But just a second later, upon stepping onto foreign land, they realized they had entered a completely unfamiliar and clearly hostile world. A world in which death is not the worst of evils…
