The world in which fifteen-year-old Andrei lives is similar to ours. Only instead of Peter, Queen Sophia has ascended to the throne: her magical abilities turned out to be stronger than her brother's. And along with her, the crows of... the Inquisition seized power. That is why the city, founded on the Neva, is called Sophiengrad, and its symbol (the Bronze Horseman) is a monument to Sophia. There is a legend that the sculptor placed an invisible snake under the hooves of the horse, and whoever can see it will turn back time.
