Corvette Fast

The next volume of the illustrated collection of works by Alexandre Dumas includes yet another brilliant travel epic "Corvette 'Fast'", for which the writer interrupted his Parisian novel about Cagliostro at the most interesting moment and rushed to the East... in the company of like-minded people. The company turned out great: three writers Dumas-father, Dumas-son, Auguste Maquet (co-author of the father of "The Count of Monte Cristo") and three artists Boulanger, Giraud, De-Barol (a writer and chiromant in his spare time). The black continent appears before the magnificent six with both its face and reverse: sultans and sultanas, bazaars and Janissaries, assaults, sieges, raids and forays, Tangier, Algiers, Tunis, the ruins of Carthage. The crew of the wheeled corvette is not afraid of either corsairs or Tuaregs and is ready to dive headfirst into the mists of Gibraltar.
