Long Live the Ficus! 1984

This edition includes two novels by George Orwell, written at different times. The main characters of these works share a reluctance to live by the laws imposed by society. Gordon Comstock ("Long Live the Ficus!") protests against the degrading power of money, and he considers the bourgeois ficus, which ultimately tames his rebellion and wins, as the embodiment of the hated world ruled by capital.
