At first, you will encounter a brief introduction to neurobiology. You will learn what happens to the autonomic nervous system and the brain under the influence of stress. And why the default settings that program us to cope successfully with the unpredictability of this world can get disrupted.
Then you will be introduced to a method developed by Michel Blum — ONFR (to feel, observe, formulate, reflect). You will master the general principles of its application — through a specifically structured system of practices and modifications for various situations. The basis of the author's method is body therapy techniques that help to quickly extinguish the physical reaction to stress and calm the restless mind.
The author pays special attention to anxiety, which is somehow related to relationships with other people. Often this type of worry has roots in childhood and has reasons that are repressed into the unconscious. Only by bringing them to light can we truly find the ability to cope with stress.
The book contains several dozen exercises that will help you reformat your anxiety. And from a person who is consumed by reacting to various external impulses, you will transform into one who consciously chooses their path.
