Sergei Yesenin is a great Russian poet, whose stunning and multifaceted talent has gifted the world with poignant lyrics, rollicking lines of tavern poems, and thoughtful reflections on the Motherland. Celebrating his native nature, Rus-Russia, love for life and the world, Sergei Yesenin seems to embody our own feelings and emotions in words, subtly conveying the mood and stirring the soul. In his short life, he published numerous poetic books and collections: his first book was released when Yesenin was barely twenty years old, and the last poem, written in his own blood, was put to paper just over ten years later. “May you be forever blessed, that you came to bloom and die.”
