Stoicism. Zeno, Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus

Stoicism as a philosophical doctrine combined elements of materialism, idealism, and atheism. Over time, the idealistic tendency in stoicism grew, and stoicism itself turned exclusively into an ethical teaching. Stoic teachings greatly influenced the formation of early Christianity.
The most significant representatives of stoicism were Zeno, Epictetus, and Marcus Aurelius. They lived at different times, and their social status varied. However, each subsequent one was familiar with the works of the predecessor.
This book collects the most significant and popular works of the Stoics: Fragments of Zeno's treatises, "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius, and The Discourses of Epictetus.
