Christmas Stories

«Christmas Stories» were conceived by Dickens as a social sermon, and in the 1840s, one of five novellas was published each year around Christmas. Through artistic imagery, the author appealed to both poor and rich readers, advocating for the improvement... of the lot of some and the «moral correction» of others. The result was a cycle of five works, translated into all world languages, repeatedly adapted for film, and which have truly become an immortal classic of world literature. A cycle in which fairy tale and reality, fantasy and truth mix, alongside humans, mythological and folkloric characters act, and in the end, Good inevitably triumphs over Evil, virtue prevails, and vice is punished. And we, children and adults, really want to believe that Christmas miracles do indeed happen…
