China and the Logic of Strategy

Edward Luttwak is a well-known specialist in military strategy and geopolitics. He worked as a consultant at the National Security Council and the U.S. Department of State, and was an advisor to President Ronald Reagan. He is the creator of geo-economics, a branch of geopolitics that studies the economic situation in various countries with the aim of increasing a state's influence based on its economic power and ensuring the achievement of foreign policy goals, either globally or regionally, through economic means. The main part of the book is dedicated to demonstrating the relentless logic of strategy, which requires increasing resistance to the unhindered rise of China. The author describes the dynamics of the formation of an anti-China alliance aimed at countering Chinese power and offers several forecasts for a world divided between China and its adversaries.
