As part of the... investigation into a drug trafficking case, senior inspector Erika Foster, along with a team of divers, inspects the abandoned quarry on the outskirts of London, where a container with four million pounds worth of drugs was submerged. The container was retrieved, but that was not the only find. Along with it, a package containing the remains of seven-year-old Jessica Collins, who went missing twenty-six years ago, was lifted from the bottom. Erika Foster takes on the investigation of the girl's death. By comparing the new facts with those uncovered in the previous investigation, Erika uncovers a wealth of details about the destroyed Collins family and investigator Amanda Baker, who at the time was unable to find Jessica. Soon, Erika realizes that this is one of the most complex and convoluted cases in her professional career.
