Bluda and MUDO

«Bluda and MUDO» — a modern rogue novel. In the provincial town of Kovyazino, young educators of MUDO, the former Pioneer House, stage a scam to save their institution from closing: they pretend that their summer camp is full of... resting schoolchildren.

The main character, philosopher and bon vivant Boris Morzhov, travels to his former mistresses-teachers, like Chichikov to the estates of landowners, and «chichits» certificates — «dead souls» of non-existent inhabitants of the camp. Additionally, the novel features prostitutes, corrupt cops, corrupt officials, village drunks, and a lot of other colorful characters. Yet the cheerful novel poses a very serious question: what is more correct — to be successful or to be authentic?

The design of the series – an art project, where all novels by Alexey Ivanov are designed by artists working in very different styles — as diverse as the novels themselves.
