Anatoly Fyodorovich Koni (1844–1927) – a famous lawyer, judge, state and public figure, writer, judicial orator, actual secret advisor, member of the State Council of the Russian Empire until 1917.
The book includes well-known cases such as «Igumenya Mitrofania», «From Kazan... Memories», «The Ovsyannikov Case», and «The Dark Case». The collection also features an essay entitled «Prince A.I. Urusov and F.N. Plevako», which tells about the outstanding judicial orators who, without prior preparation, reached the level of the best representatives of Western European advocacy.
