The famous Anton Pavlovich Chekhov (1860 - 1904) took his first steps in Russian literature under the pseudonyms Antosha Chekhonte, Man Without a Spleen, Brother of My Brother, as an author of humorous stories and feuilletons that were published in humorous Moscow magazines such as "Budilnik", "Zritel", and others, as well as in St. Petersburg humorous weeklies "Oskolki", "Strekoza", and subsequently included in the first books of the budding author. This book includes stories and feuilletons from one of Chekhov's first books "Pestrye Rasskazy", which won the love of readers from the very first publications.
