The book by Aldous Huxley "Brave New World Revisited" was first published in the distant 1958, - and it is all the more interesting to read it today: for in this work, the great English writer and philosopher, in his... polemical manner, drew parallels between the Western civilization of the bourgeois "golden age" of the 1950s and the dystopian totalitarian "consumer paradise" described in his most famous literary work - the novel "Brave New World". Time and again, Huxley compared the fictional world he created many years ago with the quite real world surrounding him at the time of writing "Revisited" - and time and again found signs of a frightening, dangerous, and increasingly evident similarity… Where was he right, and where was he wrong? Which of his predictions did not come true, and which, alas, came true with sad precision? Answers to these questions, strangely enough, are not so obvious…
