Next to the colonial city of Essenwald lies Vorr, a vast – possibly endless – forest. This place of angels and demons, warriors and priests. Intelligent and magical, Vorr can distort time and erase memory. Legends say that at its... heart, the Garden of Eden still exists. And now a former English soldier wants to be the first person to cross Vorr from end to end. Armed only with a strange bow made from the bones and sinews of his deceased beloved, he begins his journey, but someone fears the consequences and hires a native sharpshooter to stop the wanderer. And against this backdrop, stories unfold — of a cyclops raised by strange robots, of a young girl whose curiosity fatally changed her life, as well as historical figures like the French writer Raymond Roussel and the photographer Edward Muybridge. Fact and fiction merge into one, hunters become victims, and each person's fate depends solely on the mysterious will of Vorr.
