Captain Marvel

Shazam! This powerful champion of justice definitely needs no introduction! The famous son of Superman's mom's friend, whose success drove the DC management wild! The fame of Captain Marvel tormented them so much that for years DC bombarded the Fawcett... publishing house (which originally released comics about C.M.) with lawsuits. Eventually, DC did manage to take Captain Marvel for themselves, leaving us to be content with the wonderful original Fawcett comics about the strongest man on Earth!

This issue includes three stories from different periods of the character: the first appearance not long before World War II, the established image during the height of the war, and the twilight of the Captain's era at Fawcett in the early fifties.
