God Sees

An ironic and smart novel about the complexities of the relationship between man and God, - in fact, a strictly mutual relationship. God can forgive King David, but the elderly David does not forgive God and does not intend to... reconcile with Him. He has many grievances - about the character of his numerous wives, the son Solomon from a father's perspective, the future great sage is glaringly foolish, the complicated youth accessible to the inner enlightenment of Shakespeare, Mozart, Handel, and Nietzsche, as well as many biblical figures, who for David are not characters at all, but personal acquaintances, and hence he remembers them, to put it mildly, without special respect. But one can argue and quarrel with God, but how do you argue and quarrel with fate?..
