Board Game - Kingdoms of Beasts

The noble houses of the Five Kingdoms have entered into battle: it's time to determine which of the beasts is worthy to be called the true ruler of these lands! You have at your disposal mysterious and graceful animals that long to bring prosperity to their house. 

Let's issue commands, observe decrees, and wisely manage your lands – only then can you gain influence and become the ruler of the Five Kingdoms!

About the Game

In the game "Kingdoms of Beasts," you will take on the roles of the heads of noble houses: from red pandas to tigers! The cards represent animals, insects, and birds that have sworn allegiance to your house. The game will last three epochs, during which you must distribute your beasts among the Five Kingdoms, thereby increasing your influence.

How to Play?

The goal of the game is to occupy the most advantageous positions, considering various decrees. Players take turns until all players decide to retreat – in this case, the current epoch ends and a new one begins. Using cards, you will interact with the game board – it reflects the Five Kingdoms of beasts and also contains spaces for tokens and decree cards that affect the game process. On your turn, you can perform one of three actions:
1. Capture territory: play a beast card under one of the kingdoms and place an influence token in it.
2. Collect beasts: discard 1–4 cards from your hand, then draw the same number of cards from the deck and gain 1 victory point.
3. Retreat: pass and do not play cards until the end of this epoch. If you are the first player to retreat in the epoch, you also receive a bonus that will grant you additional victory points at the end of the game.

When attempting to capture territory, it is necessary to consider the decree in the kingdom where you want to send your subject. For example, the decree may prohibit placing beasts with odd values in the kingdom or playing beasts only in pairs of two similar animals!

When the epoch ends, players compare the number of influence tokens in the kingdoms – based on this, they will receive victory points. If multiple players contend for first place in the number of influence tokens, a battle ensues!
Participating players simultaneously choose one card from their hand and reveal them. The player who reveals a beast card with a higher rank wins – and the loser receives a combat bonus that they can use in future battles.
However, if players prefer a more peaceful variant of the game, rules provide an alternative way to resolve ties – no animal was harmed in the process of creating the game.

Who Won?

When the third epoch ends, players tally their points and add points for tokens received for retreating, as well as combat bonuses – each unused token of this type gives 1 point.

The player with the most points wins!
