On the Main Books of Russian Literature. Volume III, Volume IV (set of 2 books)

This book includes articles written and collected as part of the project «Polka». Established in 2017, the project aimed to define the most important works of Russian literature. To this end, a large community of experts formed a list of 108 works that left a mark on history, expanded the possibilities of literature, influenced the development of language, thought, and society, conveyed something new about the world and humanity, and entered the Russian literary canon. These are novels, stories, plays, poems, literary memoirs—from «The Tale of Igor's Campaign» to the novel «Chapayev and Void». The authors have tried to write clearly and accessibly about each of these works, relying on extensive scientific and critical literature, placing each in a larger literary context and discussing other texts that influenced it and that it influenced.

Volumes III and IV of the publication contain 48 articles—on Russian literature from 1918 to the post-Soviet period.
