Haeckel himself made sketches of the organisms he discovered. But he saw something more in these drawings. His series of colored lithographs "The Beauty of Forms in Nature" inspired artists around the world. The book had a massive impact on the art of the modern era, representatives of which sought to reproduce natural forms in stone, glass, and paper. This publication contains all 100 lithographs by Haeckel, along with the names of the depicted organisms and a preface by paleozoologist Alexey Bondarev, which will help understand the significance of this unique work.
