Dao De Jing

The treatise "Dao De Jing" is a unique monument of human thought that laid the foundation of Daoism. Created over two thousand years ago, the book still remains an inexhaustible source of wisdom and reflections on existence, justice, the nature of good and evil. The translation presented in this edition was done by Daniil Koniisi Koniisi Masutaro – a Japanese Russist, a graduate of the seminary at the Russian Spiritual Academy in Tokyo. The collection also includes articles by Koniisi that will help the reader uncover the essence of Laozi's teachings, and aphorisms by the ancient Chinese thinker translated by Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy.
