«Little Dorrit» — one of the most famous novels by the classic of English literature Charles Dickens (1812—1870), in whose works sharp social issues are usually depicted through the story of human relationships. This time, the action takes place in... the Marshalsea prison, known primarily as a debtor's prison. The main character, Amy Dorrit, was born and raised within the prison walls. Her father could not pay off his creditors and has therefore been imprisoned with his entire family for over 20 years. A terrible injustice! Especially towards young Amy, who is innocent in all of this; however, the girl has not hardened her heart and has not lost her desire to help everyone in need. This quality, in turn, will help her find her happiness. Especially when Amy's life turns upside down — she will become free and wealthy, while her benefactor will find himself imprisoned within the walls of Marshalsea.
