The Book of the Path of Life. Understanding Harmony

One of the outstanding monuments of Chinese thought, a fundamental source of Daoist teachings is the treatise created by Laozi more than two thousand years ago, called "Dao De Jing". The personality of Laozi and the content of the book are so ambiguous that they still generate numerous debates among researchers. In the prepared edition, the treatise is presented in the translation of Daniel Konishi, a Japanese scholar and graduate of the seminary at the Russian Spiritual Academy in Tokyo, who completed his translation at the request of Leo Tolstoy. The treatise is supplemented by scientific research by D. Konishi on the philosophy of Laozi and aphorisms of Laozi translated by L.N. Tolstoy.
