The Anglo-Irish prose writer Bram Stoker gained worldwide fame and literary immortality as the author of the novel «Dracula», in which he combined folkloric and literary plots about vampires with the figure of the bloody Eastern European ruler, the fears... and fantasies of the end of the Victorian era — with centuries-old experience in occult sciences and esoteric teachings, but most importantly — he created a new mythical hero, immortal in every sense. The story, image, and very name of Count Dracula, made famous by numerous sequels and film adaptations of Stoker's book, became the basis of modern vampiric mythology, which has become an important part of the culture and art of the 20th, and now the 21st century. This edition also contains the story «The Guest of Dracula» (the setup of events of the famous novel, excluded by Stoker from the final text and subsequently published separately) and is accompanied by illustrations from one of the first editions of Stoker's novel in Russian, created in 1912 by Alfred Eberling — the court artist of Nicholas II.
