The Weaver

Betty is no longer a child – she is already twelve. Yet no one wants to admit it. Her mother dresses her in doll-like dresses, and her father doesn’t even notice her. Even Arthur Nim – the smartest boy in... class – does not take her seriously. And then one day, on a particularly dreary day – on her birthday – Betty notices that a silvery thread is trailing from her back. Following the thread, she finds herself in the Shadows – a strange and eerie world of the Weaver. Those who have been unraveled by this Weaver end up here – all their joy and dreams drained away thread by thread. But Betty is still alive! She is not unraveled! And she will do whatever it takes to find her way home and save her new friends. She must also stand up to the Weaver – both in the Shadows and within herself.
