The Unknown Soldier

The hero of the story "The Unknown Soldier" (1970) – a graduate of the school, Sergey – arrives at his grandfather's in a small town... and gets a job in a road construction brigade. During the work, the builders discover an unknown
soldier's grave. Sergey is assigned to find out the identity of the deceased. The reader themselves becomes a witness to the story of the heroism and death of five unknown soldiers during the distant summer of 1942. The name of the soldier buried in the nameless grave is established, but the most important thing is the return of a sense of connection with the past of one's country and people to the hearts of individuals.
For some, war is history, but for others, it is a life given for the Motherland and peace.
