The textbook you hold in your hands is designed for both self-study of the basics of the Armenian language and classes with a teacher. With careful and thoughtful study of the presented material, one can quickly master the rules of... reading, the basics of normative pronunciation, and acquire the minimally necessary grammatical material. Since the textbook is aimed at a wide range of users, the author consciously tried to avoid complex linguistic terminology, the grammatical rules are kept to a minimum, and the vocabulary is limited to a set of necessary words for everyday communication. To introduce readers to the culture of Armenia, the textbook includes cultural studies materials. All texts, dialogues, and many exercises are recorded on a compact disc, read by native speakers of the language, so listening to it will be very useful for developing listening skills and pronunciation. The disc is not included in the set.
