Summer in a Small Bakery

How can one live on the edge, no, beyond the edge of the earth — on a tidal islet, swept by all winds? Far from big cities and familiar entertainments? But such Robinsons are found — they come here, fall... in love with Cornwall forever, and stay to live, work, and be happy. One of them is Polly Waterford, perhaps not spoiled by luck, yet not burying her talent in the ground: she knows how to bake incredibly delicious bread. She has a favorite job, a favorite person, and a favorite pet (actually, it's a seabird), and all three live in the lighthouse (no other housing was found on the island). But as is often the case, the idyll does not last long — the owner of the small bakery where Polly works changes, and she is shown the door. After all, she absolutely cannot save on the quality of products! The inhabitants of the lighthouse go through tough times and come up with a rescue plan. But to implement it, they will have to part ways — perhaps for a long time.
