The Pit

A great adventure of Erast Petrovich Fandorin, narrated by his steadfast assistant Masahiro Shibata, began on the first day of the twentieth century. They had just competed with the most famous detective in England and the most notorious criminal in France, and now a new contest of minds is ahead. A challenge has been thrown to the great sleuth, and Masa does not yet know what emotional upheavals await them both.
