Tavern Polar Fox

I wanted to be free, but for that I had to become a villain. I ran away to the wild lands, but even there they found me. I dreamed of peace and solitude, but now I am a tavern keeper... with the king himself as a guest.
The house is in disarray and the pipes are leaking, a pesky ghost buzzes by my ear, and next to me is a fake husband. He is a huntsman who hunted me, but now he has become the prey. Let him play along and help buy me some time while I finish my spell.
Once I fulfill my plan, I will have nothing to fear. I will be able to leave the tavern, my fictitious husband, and the fake nephews. Though they are not such bad guys, considering they can't even choose pets or understand souls.
But is power really necessary if it means sacrificing love and a new family?
