The novel by Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov "The Twelve Chairs" was written in 1927 and is the first joint work of the authors. The famous story about two adventurers trying to find the diamonds of Madame Petukhova can rightly be called a classic. This novel charms with its humor; it remains fresh, original, and relevant.
