A sad tale for high school students. The first two novels of the "Rat Trilogy," a famous cycle by the author, concluding with "A Wild Sheep Chase" and continued with "Dance, Dance, Dance." The story began on August 8, 1970, and ended after 18 days — that is, on August 26 of the same year. The whole story lasts nineteen full days, the narrator assures us, but not the author. If you count carefully, you'll see that this story doesn't fit into nineteen days, no matter how you look at it. Will you believe it or check it?
