The Shadow of Batgirl

Cassandra Cain, a teenage assassin, doesn't quite fit the role of Batgirl… for now. Additionally, her inner voice tells her that she'll never be a hero. Cass not only needs to survive but also to overcome her biggest obstacle —... her doubts. Fortunately for Cassandra, she won't have to fight alone. Her friends and mentors — diner owner Jackie Fujikawa Yonema and librarian Barbara Gordon — help her learn everything possible about her favorite hero. The only problem is that Batgirl hasn't been seen in Gotham for many years… Will Cass be able to find Batgirl before her father destroys the world she loves? Or will she have to don her own superhero cape?
