Pineapples and Snow

The fact that Andrey's mother did not forget the Japanese woman wandering through the snow-covered city in search of a pineapple made a lasting impression on me. Her words taught me how to forgive the universe, how to feel gratitude... even when you can no longer smile. It was a sad and heavy, yet beautiful conversation. I don’t know if there is such a genre, but I decided to write a picture book for adults. I want it to be read by adults who were once children.
About the Creators
Minor Kamata - a Japanese doctor, writer, and public figure. One of the founders of the Japanese Chernobyl Foundation. For his assistance to those affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, he was awarded the Francis Skorina Order in 2001.
Tojimbara Norihisa - illustrator and art director, designs advertising posters, book covers, magazines, and more. In 1984, he established the design bureau Happy Birthday Company, and in 1985, he opened the art gallery HB GALLERY.
