The Golem

Gustav Meyrink (1868-1932) - an Austrian writer, whose true fame came from the novel "The Golem," which became one of the most famous mystical novels in European literature. Strange visions, miraculous transformations, horrors lurking in the corners of a medieval city, a detective plot driven by hatred and broken love, revenge and cabala - this mysterious story, set in Prague at the beginning of the last century, became a true bestseller of the 20th century and is rightly called a masterpiece of expressionist prose.
