Anatomy of Love

Hazel Sinnett is a lady who wishes to become a surgeon more than to get married. Jack Carrere is a resurrectionist trying to survive in a city where it's so easy to die. When the young people meet at the Royal Anatomical Society, Hazel doesn't think much of it. But after being thrown out of a lecture by the renowned surgeon Dr. Beecham, she realizes that her new acquaintance may be much more useful than she thought. It all comes down to a deal Hazel made with her professor: if she prepares for and passes the exam on her own, he will allow her to continue her medical career. She is not admitted to classes, so the girl will need books and, moreover, bodies for practical study. How fortunate that now she knows someone who professionally digs up corpses. But Jack has his own reasons for concern: strange people are loitering around graveyards, his friends are disappearing right off the streets, and the Roman fever, which claimed thousands of lives just a few years ago, is returning to the city. And seemingly, no one cares about all this. Except for Hazel. Now, Hazel and Jack must work together to uncover the secrets buried not just in nameless graves, but in the very heart of Edinburgh society.
