Dreaming of Venice

Penny Lane dreams of exhibiting her paintings in a famous gallery and of Venice. At night in her dreams, she walks through the streets of this beautiful city and rides in a gondola, while during the day she returns to a joyless existence: working in a cheap London café and feeling lonely, as she recently broke up with her boyfriend. But Penny's life takes a dramatic turn when she saves a baby whose stroller is rolling towards an oncoming train, gaining her fifteen minutes of fame. A lady approaches her with an unusual proposal: to substitute for her boss Olivia at events and social gatherings, who has fallen into depression after her father's death. It turns out the girls are like two peas in a pod. Now, Penny can pay off her school debts, and a renowned gallery is interested in her works. And maybe, she will fulfill her dream – to visit Venice – and find love there...
