Oblomov = Обломов

We present to your attention the novel by Ivan Aleksandrovich Goncharov "Oblomov" (1859), which is the pinnacle of critical realism in Russian classical literature of the 19th century and at the same time a work that has not lost its relevance today. In the novel, Goncharov presents the conflict between the dreamer Oblomov and the active Stoltz. In this conflict, the author takes no side. Under the influence of some irresistible force, Oblomov lies on the couch. The name of this force is "Oblomovshchina," which has become a common term.
