A biographical book by Lottie Quint, personal secretary, agent, and right hand of Astrid Lindgren for half a century. Lottie was only sixteen years old when, in 1952, she stepped into the publishing house "Rabén & Sjögren," where Astrid worked.... She started as a gopher, but soon became the executive secretary, and later successfully sold the rights to Astrid Lindgren's books abroad. When Astrid was old and no longer had the strength to respond to all the letters, Lottie became her indispensable assistant.

This book is very personal memories about Astrid's life, about friendship, about Astrid's travels and meetings with different people, and much more. Lottie equally interestingly tells what Astrid Lindgren had for breakfast and how the meeting with Boris Yeltsin went. The book contains unique photographs from the author's personal archive.
