Winning the Hollday contest, Wade Watts becomes a billionaire and the owner of GSS along with his friends. And that's far from all! Hollday left him as an inheritance his secret invention – a headset of the original neural interface,... which allows OASIS users to experience the full range of sensations – to feel in the simulation with all their senses, as well as to record their sensations in life and view those of others. Hollday believed that the new owner of the super-headset is free to decide whether humanity is worthy of this new technology. Despite the objections of his friends, Wade decides to release the headset into the world. And the previously united team falls apart. After a while, a new riddle appears on Hollday's website, and Wade joins the hunt for the prizes. But, as it soon turns out, the doubts of the former Magnificent Five were not unfounded.
