Since the mid-1990s, in the small Siberian city of Angarsk, the bodies of murdered and raped women have been found almost every month. The search for the person who committed these crimes took more than 15 years — primarily because few wanted to search for him.
Journalist Sasha Sulim's book is the story of the bloodiest murderer in Russia and a tale of the people who professionally searched for, found, and imprisoned serial criminals despite inertia and opposition from the law enforcement system.
