Medea's Syndrome

A girl with the strange name of Dream inherits an old apartment in St. Petersburg, a cat named Nikon, and a set of 15th-century Spanish chess pieces. Using the beautiful pieces, she plays out scenes from real life and her dreams on the chessboard. How she wishes they would come true. Unfortunately, some pieces have disappeared somewhere. Suddenly, one of them appears in Dream's apartment – the white king. Where did he come from?! Soon, the girl's neighbor dies, and Dream herself meets a handsome man. Is he the fiancé she secretly dreams of... She begins to think that the chess pieces grant wishes! But in return, someone dies. Is this true? Or are these the whims of a paranoid girl? To stop... or to continue playing the game?
