Boris Messerer (b. 1933) – painter, graphic artist, and stage designer, author of the memoir book «The Flicker of Bella».
The legendary ballet family of Messerers and Plisetskayas, working with the best theatrical directors, twenty solo exhibitions, and, of course, a... friendly entourage – the artist was rightly called the king of bohemia. His greatest life achievement was always considered to be the opportunity to engage in pure painting.

In the book «Life Transitions into Memory», Boris Asafovich writes about great teachers: A. Fonvizin, A. Tyshler, V. Elkonin; closest friends and colleagues: L. Zbarsky, Yu. Krasny, S. Barkhin, V.
