Letters

The book includes letters created from October 1914, the beginning of the future writer's studies at Oxford University, to August 1973, the year of John R.R. Tolkien's death. Humphrey Carpenter, Tolkien's biographer, selected for this collection letters from the vast epistolary legacy of the Middle-earth author that in one way or another concerned his creative work.
