Lady Chatterley's Lover

The release in 1928 of David Herbert Lawrence's novel "Lady Chatterley's Lover" by an Italian publisher caused a real scandal, as it was the first to openly address women's sexual needs. The description of love scenes was deemed indecent, and the work itself was perceived as a call to dismantle the institution of marriage. The puritanical society of England believed that the novel mocked the social order and institutions of society and imposed foreign, incorrect notions of freedom, morality, and human relationships. Therefore, the complete authorial version of the novel "Lady Chatterley's Lover" was published in the UK only thirty years after the writer's death, in 1960. At the center of the plot is the relationship between the beautiful young woman Constance Chatterley and her husband, who returned from the war as a cripple, having his lower body paralyzed due to injury. Constance tries to accept the platonic relationship with her husband and be a good wife and friend, but a chance encounter with gamekeeper Oliver Mellors develops into a tumultuous affair...
