Outcast

Not too distant future. A portal to another planet has been discovered on Earth. The children of the settlers can gain abilities akin to magic from their new homeland, but this gift kills most of those who acquire it, while... the survivors are forced to wear blockers for the rest of their lives. Some mages, who believe they deserve more, are not ready to accept this state of affairs, as are people who think that the world will become better without mages, even if that mage is their close relative. Pavel Velasquez has been disowned by his own father, and now he has no family. Instead, he has an unburdening job, a calm life, and fleeting hobbies. All of this will collapse in an instant, dragging Pavel into a confrontation with a mysterious organization that will stop at nothing. Who is he: a victim, a minor obstacle, a pawn that can be brushed off the board with a single flick, or one who can challenge powerful forces and prevail?
