Aslanbek Dubaev is a young endovascular surgeon from Dagestan. He graduated from Voronezh State Medical Academy named after N.N. Burdenko, interned at the Charité clinic in Germany and at the German Cardiac Center in Berlin, and is a Laureate of... the International Prize of the World Academy of Medicine named after Albert Schweitzer in 2007. After studying in Germany, he decided to return to his homeland and apply his knowledge for the benefit of his compatriots. In his book, Dr. Dubaev reveals to the reader what happens inside the operating room. Cases from practice harmoniously intertwine with reflections on life and death, the divine and the earthly. In these reflections, a common thread runs through the thought that life must be lived worthily and every second of it must be valued.
