One fine day, a customer revealed that one fish differs from another not just by genetic code, they differ even more than people do, which means that in reality, there are more differences between a dorado and some other fish...
than between me and the customer. What I learned knocked me off my feet; I really thought all fish were the same, and it never occurred to me that each one is an individual.
What happens at night in a huge shopping center? Who secretly reads books? And why do we throw away so much good food?
Charlie is 24 years old; he spends the whole day at the fish counter in a large supermarket: cutting and gutting fresh fish, going down to the giant waste pile, interacting with customers. He likes the saleswoman from the cheese department and Emil, who introduces Charlie to reading. Some call Charlie an autistic, but his view of the world and people is deeper and more honest than that of many.
One day, Emil shares a secret with Charlie: he got a job at the store to make a report on how much food ends up in the trash. Gradually, Emil and Charlie realize that much in life - relationships, books, and even garbage - is much more complicated than it seems at first glance.
