Nikolai Stepanovich Gumilev (1886–1921) — one of the brightest representatives of Silver Age literature. In his short life, he accomplished a great deal: he became one of the founders of the Acmeism school, participated in World War I, receiving two... St. George's Crosses, undertook two expeditions to Africa, and, most importantly, gifted us an incalculable number of wonderful poems. A dreamer and a romantic, he became the poet who observes and collects numerous traces of bygone eras: Egyptian hieroglyphs, myths engraved on ancient stones, folklore plots that trace their roots back to the dark and not always narratable past. However, this is not just the collection of artifacts but a complex task of deciphering, of returning language to words and things that have forgotten how to speak. Immersing ourselves in the soaring universe of texts, we, together with the author, will reflect on life and death, creativity and calling, fate and will, and much more.
