Chronicles of the Forsytes. At the Forsyte Exchange

In 1932, the English writer John Galsworthy was awarded the Nobel Prize "for the high art of narration, the pinnacle of which is the 'Saga of the Forsytes'". This famous cycle is part of the extensive "Chronicles of the Forsytes",... recreating several decades of the history of one family and revealing a world hidden behind the beautiful facade of success: a world of repressed passions, broken fates, unfulfilled happiness, hopeless love, and tragic loneliness. This edition presents works from the "Chronicles of the Forsytes", created by Galsworthy in a shorter form: for the first time in Russian, the complete author's collection of stories "At the Forsyte Exchange", which gathers tales from the lives of Forsytes of different generations, and the story "The Forsyte's Salvation", presented in a new translation, the first work from the "Chronicles" that gave rise to the famous saga.
